Beberapa tokoh pramuka senior khususnya dari Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dalam kesempatan Webinar Nasional Sejarah Raimuna yang diselenggarakan minggu lalu menyampaikan bahwa Yogyakarta menjadi pioneer penyelenggaraan Perkemahan Putri, kabarnya, kegiatan itu bernama Mahapani.
Digagas oleh Dewan Kerja Daerah kala itu, salah satunya adalah Kak Basu Asti Manohara, Wakil Ketua Dewan Kerja Daerah masa bakti 1975 – 1982.
Selain itu, gagasan ini juga disambut baik dan didukung oleh Kak Dian Siswantari, Anggota Dewan Kerja Nasional Tahun 1974 – 1978 dan Sekretaris II Dewan Kerja Daerah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Tahun 1978 – 1982.
Mahapani diselenggarakan di Bumi Perkemahan Karang Pramuka, Kaliurang, Sleman yang hingga saat ini masih digunakan sebagai lokasi perkemahan dan wahana edukasi bagi generasi muda.
Apa itu Mahapani, bagaimana penyelenggaraannya, siapa saja pesertanya, siapa kakak-kakak yang mendukung kegiatan tersebut, simak penuturan kedua narasumber Kak Basu Asti Manohara dan Kak Dian Siswantari pada Webinar Nasional Sejarah Perkemahan Putri pada 25 Juni 2022, mulai pukul 15.00 WIB.
Kegiatan ini juga dalam rangka menyongsong pelaksanaan Kemah Khusus Putri Kwartir Cabang (Kwarcab) Gerakan Pramuka Sleman tahun 2022 yang akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 hingga 3 Juli 2022 nanti.
